While down in Southern California I had the opportunity to capture this little family. We met out in the Chino Hills during the most perfect weather. Grandpa brought the infamous truck...
Oh the silly voices and schenanigans that went on with this sweet family. While I'm not ashamed of it, I am glad that not everyone gets to see the lengths I'll go to in order to get a child to smile. It's straight up ridiculous. Thankfully Ami and Doug helped A TON (and didn't judge!).
Thanks to stuffed elephants, kissy noises and acting like a goober, we got some adorable shots of little CeCe. Not to mention great shots of this special little family. But truly, even when she's not smiling, cares nothing about the camera or the goofing around, she's still just as precious. A huge thank you to Ami and Doug for being flexible with their schedule so we could get together. I cannot wait to see the beautiful human that CeCe turns into because of your amazing parenting. XOXO.
Bree and Chris got married on a beautiful afternoon at the Marriott in Newport. One of the first things we loved about these two was how involved Chris was. He so clearly wanted it to be perfect for his bride. It's pretty special when we meet a groom who's excited about what he found on Etsy, or getting creative with props for the wedding. We loved that he genuinely cared - you got a good one Bree! They are such a wonderful couple and they already make up 2/3's of an amazing family. After these two realized that they had found their match, they decided that they couldn't wait to start their new life together. Enter the most adorable little boy, Kellan! Sporting his little red chucks he led the way down the aisle for Mommy - more than a couple tears were shed! Such a sweet moment!
Congratulations Bree, Chris + Kellan! The Harringtons make one darn beautiful family!

I had the absolute pleasure to photograph these adorable kids in laguna. This brother and sister were having a blast... well... what kid really wants their picture taken, so I guess let's say they were putting up with me. It was so bright and warm out that it actually felt like summer. If only it was. Let us know where you want your family photos taken. We'll meet you there! The Following images were fun to shoot, there were so many shells all over the place. This was just about 3 seconds of putting your hands down and scooping them up. These clam shells had such beautiful color and texture.
I couldn't believe these two were walking around on the rocks without shoes or sandals. It was rough, I guess kids will be kids though.
What younger sibling doesn't like a good piggy back ride from their older sibling? The answer to this question is none of them, they all love it.
I wish we could have taken these Kayaks out, would have made for some great images to see the children paddling through the waves and laughing.
For all of you photographers out there, the images below have such great light in their eyes because of the natural reflector. There was a bright tan building the sun was hitting behind me while I was shooting. It lit up their faces perfectly.
On December 27th we shot Mark and Mariellen's engagement pictures down on the Santa Monica Pier. We had such a lovely time two days before and knew that their wedding day was going to be so special! (Sorry guys, we'll get your engagement session up soon! Wanted to get straight to the big day :) December 29th 2012 we had the incredible pleasure of witnessing the joining of not only two people, but two beautiful families. Mark and Mariellen opted for a private wedding that included only immediate family and it was perfect. One of my favorite parts of the whole day was when Mariellen and Mark were surrounded by their 6 children during their ceremony, how absolutely special. The whole day was filled with laughter and joy. Not only could you see the incredible love that these two have for each other, but their kids glowed with happiness for their parents. Congratulations to all of you! We were thrilled to be a part of such a special time!

What a Stunning Family! Those boys are going to have a hard time keeping the suitors away from such beautiful young ladies!
Although the forecast said rain, we got some beautiful sunset pictures! How gorgeous!
To the right you may notice some giggling girls :) loved this!
If there is one family that I absolutely love to shoot, it's the Pierce family. Mike is my best friend and has been for years. I'm so happy for him and Karla to have another healthy happy little boy. He is so adorable. They are so relaxed and easy to deal with, this entire shoot took place less then 1/2 a block from their house and in less then 30 minutes. Mike is also a photographer and edited all the images you see here. His style is awesome, not to mention Karla's fashion sense. Love you guys! Also please check out Mike's work here on his new blog, Mike Shoots.
Cheers... to one of our best clients. The Slutsky's, I'm pretty sure have adopted us. We spend more time with this family then our own. These shoots are always filled with a bit of craziness, screaming, laughing, crying, bribing and anything else that you think could happen, happens. We get threats of brothers mooning the kids to make them laugh, sometimes those threats become reality. When this happens we just make sure not to look behind us. Even through the mess of some of these shoots, we always come out with great images. Please see below and leave a comment for Helene!
