My first memory of Michael is from before he was actually born. Standing in the kitchen with my Mom when she told me she had a secret she wanted me to go tell my Dad. A secret? Sign me up! And when it was a big one, I was ecstatic! So on tiny legs I ran off go tell Dad the big secret that Mom had a bun in the oven! Still one of my favorite childhood memories. I remember being so excited to have a little brother. The first memory I have of interacting with Michael was when he was a tiny babe just minding his own business trying to sleep. Big sister had other plans. I had been watching and re-watching some Winnie-The-Pooh movies and had proudly memorized an entire song. So I decided to sneak into the nursery and sing Michael to sleep. I sounded like an angel people! *insert eye roll* This memory I have was just one instance of me sneaking into his nursery to sing to him. Poor kid.
All that to say, I cannot be more proud of how my little brother has grown into the man he is. Despite continual renditions of disney classics, he is such a good hearted, humble, hard working and loving person. Always quick to see the good in people and situations. No doubt he is going to be one stellar husband to my new sister-in-law, Ariel! Or at least he'd better be!
Very soon after Michael and Ariel got engaged we got asked if we'd be interested in shooting the wedding. I can't believe that was even a question! To be able to capture such an amazing moment in Michael and Ariel's love story was such an honor. They said, "I DO", at Tall Timbers in Columbus, Ohio. They were both so relaxed the entire day. No nerves. But I guess that makes sense when you're marrying your best friend and soul mate. <3 Congratulations Ariel and Michael!! Could not be happier to welcome another member to the family!
