Ami and Doug are a match made in heaven! We’ve watched their sweet relationship through social media and it’s so cute! On facebook with videos Doug takes of Ami, Instagram and pictures Ami takes of Doug. So obvious that they are a perfect fit for each other. I mean, check out there engagement session if you don’t believe me!
Their wedding was at the The Summit House in Fullerton, California. Beautiful location for their summer wedding. Everything was perfect and laid back! Both being Jewish, they were able to create a celebration that incorporated traditional aspects while also clearly representing their unique relationship.
Ami and Doug, we were so happy to be a part of your celebration! We know you two are headed back from your honeymoon(looked gorgeous by the way!), and we wanted to get this up as a welcome home surprise! Congratulations to you both! We know there are many love and laughter filled years ahead!
Here’s what we love about Ami and Doug – even though they were enjoying their reception, when they heard about this “super moon” they eagerly followed us outside to snap a few pictures!
We were delighted and honored to be a part of Jamison and Joe’s beautiful rustic backyard wedding. Adam has known Jamison for years and when she asked if we would be willing to travel to shoot hers, there was no hesitation.
Their wedding was set in two back yard locations and was filled with such amazing details. The only thing over shadowing this perfect set-up was the love between this adorable couple.
They met in college but the timing just wasn’t right. Several years down the road when asked who in his past he would consider marrying (what guys talk about this stuff?!), Joe said Jamison was the one. Now there is definitely more to the story, but to hear their vows spoken with such love and emotion, it’s obvious that fate was just waiting for perfect timing. Congratulations you two! We couldn’t be happier or more excited that you have each other for all of life’s little adventures!
We had such a fun time shooting Brittany and Brandon’s San Clemente engagement session! They picked the site of the San Clemente casino and one of Brandon’s favorite surf spots. The overcast sky was perfect for being able to shoot wherever we wanted. And the location was awesome for creating these beautiful images.
All their smiles and laughter show just how much they enjoy each other. They are so laid back and easy to be around. It felt like we were just hanging out with a couple friends! We are so excited to be the ones capturing your wedding. It’s going to be beautiful and perfect!
Amanda and Chris are a wonderful couple that are so sweet together! Adam and I shot their engagement session at Disney Land and had a blast. They were so laid back and relaxed and we knew they’re wedding day would be much the same. And as we expected, it was perfect! Even with a minor set-back in their timeframe, they rolled with it and enjoyed every second of their special day.
The Hacienda in Santa Ana was a gorgeous location! They were able to have an elegant wedding that was also warm and inviting. All the little touches that they added made it a beautiful experience for each of their guests. From a candy bar, adorable succulent favors (I’m a sucker for succulents!), a mexican feast, hilarious dancing – well the list goes on and on!
Congratulations you two! You’re day couldn’t have been more wonderful and we’re so excited to be able to help you relive it!!
We’re trying out a fun little stop motion image – let us know what you think!
Here is a list of some of the amazing people that made this wedding spectacular.
After spending time with Ashley and Chad for their Engagement Session we were so excited to be a part of their special day! They are such a laid back, sweet couple! We had beautiful weather for their intimate Laguna Beach wedding. Their ceremony took place on the beach in Laguna and their reception on the rooftop terrace at Inn at Laguna Beach. Fair warning, this post may be a bit longer than usual – both Ashley and Chad spent so much time putting together their wedding day that I just wanted to include as much as possible!
Anyone who knows me, knows that I will most likely get a little teary-eyed during almost every ceremony. That was definitely true for Ashley and Chad’s wedding! It’s so apparent that they are head over heels in love with each other that I just kept getting emotional throughout the reception, ridiculous! After Adam and I had packed up our things for the night I went to say goodbye to Ashley and she just gushed the sweetest things! Water works! I had to tell her to stop or I would have been a sobbing mess! At one point during the night I overheard a group of Ashley and Chad’s friends talking about the couple (yes I was eaves dropping!). They all had exceptional things to say about both of them. They raved about Ashley’s cooking and then her as a person. They talked about how lucky Ashley and Chad are to have each other. You know you’re surrounded by good people when they’re gossiping about how amazing you are!
Congratulations Ashley and Chad! We were blessed to be able to capture even a fraction of what is obviously a special and unique love!
Many thanks goes out to all the people that were involved in this event:
Meet Tiffani and Christopher! We had a bit of an overcast day to work with, but at least it wasn’t raining! We chose Shoreline Aquatic Park for their Long Beach engagement session and it turned out perfect. It’s a tiny park with a lot of variety!
Tiffani and Christopher are a beautiful couple with an obviously steadfast love. They met in school and it was game over for these two. Found out at the engagement session that they are already technically hitched (couldn’t wait another second!), and the wedding we’re shooting for them in July will be the 2nd go round – Let the celebration continue!! They were a pleasure to work with and basically convinced me that we’re moving to that side of town. Can’t wait for the SECOND big day you guys!!
Thought this was hilarious! “Okay Christopher, I’m going to have you wrap your arms around Tiffani’s shoulders. Uhm, not in a headlock…” Someone is obviously a wrestler!

How many people in high school think that their sweetheart was going to become their husband or wife? What a special time in your life to discover love! Caitlin+EJ actually met in high school and have been together ever since. Being the helpless romantic that EJ is, he took Caitlin off to Hawaii to surprise her with not only a ring, but the start of a wonderful life together! Caitlin is a nurse – who wouldn’t love this sweet woman taking care of them? EJ is in life insurance with Nationwide, so if you need to protect your future, this is the man to contact. We can’t wait for you to see this beautiful country engagement session.
Laura and I are very excited to share their special day with them at the Columbus Museum of Art in August. What a better way for a pair of photographers to spend the day than admiring artists from all genre’s and doing what we love, capturing emotion. I’m not going to lie, EJ seems like a very strong man, but I guarantee he’s going to cry like a baby when he see’s his bride walk down that aisle for the first time! Congrats guys! Can’t wait for the big da
I have to thank our past bride and groom for allowing us to use their amazing land, so rustic and beautiful.
If you would like to see more photos from their engagement session please go to this link. Also, don’t forget to leave some love for Caitlin+Ej in the comments section below and if you want to stay up to date and see their images from their wedding day follow us on FB for the quickest update!
Meet Brittany & Steven and take a look at their beautiful wedding! What a sweet, loving couple! When we first sat down with Brittany & Steven over a coffee we knew it was a match made in heaven (Adam and I also used yellow and gray as our wedding colors!). Then after Adam shot their engagement session - well, we just got so excited to be involved in their special day! Their wedding took place at Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda. And may I say they have some of the BEST event planners on staff. So friendly and on top of things. But anyways, Brittany and Steven have a very sweet relationship – it was an absolute joy for us to be able to capture just a taste of it!
The day started at Chase Suites Hotel, which was a beautiful place for the ladies to get ready!
Oh etsy, you have the best finds for weddings. These cute necklaces were such a cute addition for the bridesmaids wardrobes!
The difference between women getting ready… and men getting ready The ever dangerous fireball!
First look was interrupted by some golfers but still turned out perfect! Steven made Brittany take a spin so he could take in the dress! I think his words were, “That’s not what I expected!”. Love it when a bride shocks the socks off her husband to be. Way to go Brittany!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE what was done with the flowers and tins! Gave the wedding a bit of a country/vintage feel while still being super classy!!
It was a beautiful afternoon for Ashley and Ryan’s Old Towne Orange engagement session! The sun kept trying to hide from us – but we just chased it down! The sun ended up peaking out at all the right times. We had so much fun walking around this cute little area and found some great spots to shoot. Ashley and Ryan are such a great couple, you can tell they are absolutely smitten with each other. Ryan popped the question on a beautiful morning while they were vacationing in Hawaii – SO romantic!! July is going to come so fast and we can’t wait!
Did I say smitten?! Love how sweetly Ashley looks at her soon-to-be-husband awww!
Can you say “sun flare”? Love the feel of these images!
If this engagement session is any indication of how their wedding day will be – well hold on to your seats friends!! Can’t wait for it!!
So we don’t normally post much personal information on here, but that needs to change. This is who we are, and we think you guys should deserve a little insight into our lives. Most of our time is spent on our business, it doesn’t seem like we’ve had anytime for anything else lately. We do have dogs and the dogs need to be unleashed every so often, they are actually our children. Since our lab pup just had some surgery she has not been able to get out to the park, but she spends a crazy amount of time with her brother Brody. He is in all the pictures below. It’s great to have such a great friend that got the counter part to our terror. She knows how exhausting it can be to have a puppy.
I decided to kill two birds with one stone today. I had a couple things on the to do list. I knew the pups needed to get out, they were driving us crazy. I also needed to test one of our lenses, it seems like we were having a little focusing trouble with it. So off to the beach it was, puppy and canon camera with 50mm lens in tow. Wow, did those dogs need to get out, they were like a jack in the box. Turn the handle and watch them pop out, except this was the minute their feet touched the sand it was over, let the craziness ensue.
So here is the result of the lens test below, seems to be doing ok for now. It needs more testing, maybe on a subject that doesn’t move as fast.
We met Devin and Erik at Crystal Cove State Park for their engagement session and they did fantastic! Laughing and goofing around the whole time! The trail leading down to the beach was beautiful. We were having them stand in the middle of the path and somehow that turned into an impromptu dance session. Loved it! They’re such a cute, genuine couple! Made for a fabulous engagement session!
Love the shots we got on this hidden little staircase!! Had a hard time picking some favorites… so I picked a bunch! The light coming through the trees is just lovely!
Beautiful day on the beach! So gorgeous!
You can’t tell in these shots… but between the first and second shot, Devon chucked her shoes at her husband to be. Hence all the laughter!
For Chris and Amanda’s engagement shoot we went to Disneyland! It was my first time and I loved it! So much going on! Some awesome backdrops you’re not going to find anywhere else, and color galore! Both Chris and Amanda work for Disney and knew all the in and out’s of the resort. It felt like an engagement session and professional tour all in one! So here we go!
The merry-go-round was so cute! That is until all the spinning forced my head between my knees (how embarrassing!).
LOVED Amanda’s pinup style. So cute! Hair and makeup done by Ashley Gannon - fantastic job!
You can definitely see their playful side in front of this miniature door in Mickeys Toontown!
After my Merry-go-round “incident”, Adam kindly offered to ride in the teacups to get closeups of the lovebirds. Thanks babe!
We ended our engagement session on Main Street, where we were able to catch a little motion in the passing crowds. Congrats you two! Can’t wait for the big day, know it’s going to be absolutely gorgeous!!
When we sat down with Ashley and Chad a while back we could tell they have such a sweet love for each other. Knowing each other since high school can do that! They treat each other with such gentleness and kindness. For their engagement session we shot in Laguna Beach. We started out by walking through Laguna and finding some pretty neat little backdrops. This is the little alley where we started! So Cute!
Loved this wooden door! But love their smiling faces even more! You guys are so adorable!
When Ashley sat down in this boarded up window frame she said “It feels like I just sat on a nail!” But then ignored it and smiled beautifully for us… sure enough… we made her sit on a nail! Ahhh sorry girl! We don’t make a habit of injuring our couples on their photo shoots! – But what a good sport, just laughed it off!
The lighting here was just gorgeous coming through the trees! Definitely got there at the perfect time!
Congratulations you two! We cannot wait for the big day to arrive!!
This engagement session started out with Ami and Doug on the mainland, and Adam and I on Balboa Island (whoops! our bad!) – at least we got to ride the ferry! We had a blast with these two. They have such fun loving personalities that perfectly compliment each other. Doug was even the one who came up with the idea of using a heart sucker as a prop. So fun and spontaneous. They were great following along as we hiked all over the place, and so impressed with Ami’s grace in those cute teal wedges! All in all it was a perfect day for an engagement session, and with such a lovely couple… perfection! We are so happy for you two and cannot wait for the big day! It’s coming up so fast!! <3
I declined the ferris wheel ride, but am so glad Adam jumped at the opportunity. These images are so cute!!
Did I say fun loving? Yep, they are absolutely perfect for each other!
Doug, mister spontaneous, decided to grab a cute little 25 cent ring and recreate the proposal. LOVE IT!
Adam and I first sat down with Meredyth back in January and were impressed with how on top of things she was. She knew all the right questions to ask and what she wanted from her photographer. We finally got to meet Ryan for their engagement session and could tell from the minute they were walking up that they were truly in love! The way they were looking at each other spoke volumes! We decided to shoot on Balboa Peninsula and got some fantastic images! They were both so laid back and wonderful to work with. Meredyth & Ryan, congratulations on your engagement! We wish you the absolute best!
Love a good engagement session piggy back ride! So cute!
Well hello Gorgeous! What a beautiful, joyful smile!
Love this! Just a romantic walk on the beach with your husband-to-be.
Oh boy, where to start?! This couple is fantastic! So friendly and outgoing! There were a couple times that Adam and I would realize we weren’t shooting but instead were just chatting away… that’s the best! Amelia & Carlos took us to a beautiful street in Corona Del Mar for their Engagement Session. Beautiful homes and mature trees provided some stunning backgrounds. This street is also the place that these two shared their first kiss! Awww! A quick wardrobe change and they took us down to the beach where we got some fun shots. Such a beautiful beach! And such a beautiful couple! It was so cute to see the smile Amelia just couldn’t get rid of, and that look of “I’m the luckiest guy in the world” on Carlos. Oh and the way Amelia laughed at all of Carlos’ jokes… these two are bound for a lifetime of joy! Congratulations you two! We hope to see you again very soon!
I had the absolute pleasure to photograph these adorable kids in laguna. This brother and sister were having a blast… well… what kid really wants their picture taken, so I guess let’s say they were putting up with me. It was so bright and warm out that it actually felt like summer. If only it was. Let us know where you want your family photos taken. We’ll meet you there!
The Following images were fun to shoot, there were so many shells all over the place. This was just about 3 seconds of putting your hands down and scooping them up. These clam shells had such beautiful color and texture.
I couldn’t believe these two were walking around on the rocks without shoes or sandals. It was rough, I guess kids will be kids though.
What younger sibling doesn’t like a good piggy back ride from their older sibling? The answer to this question is none of them, they all love it.
I wish we could have taken these Kayaks out, would have made for some great images to see the children paddling through the waves and laughing.
For all of you photographers out there, the images below have such great light in their eyes because of the natural reflector. There was a bright tan building the sun was hitting behind me while I was shooting. It lit up their faces perfectly.
Well we said it would come after the wedding, because we only shot these images 2 days before it. Mariellen+Mark flew in from NYC with their immediate family for a tiny wedding and engagement session in Santa Monica. They wanted to have some photos of just the two of them, so we did their mock engagement session right out on the Santa Monica Pier. We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely day, well, maybe a little less wind. Even with the wind and the blowing hair, these two still look amazing. They have so much love for each other, as you can see in the photos where they are goofing off. It always makes a good session when a couple is relaxed and truly deeply in love. If you want to check out their wedding just click here.
I love the girl in the window below checking them out.
On December 27th we shot Mark and Mariellen’s engagement pictures down on the Santa Monica Pier. We had such a lovely time two days before and knew that their wedding day was going to be so special! (Sorry guys, we’ll get your engagement session up soon! Wanted to get straight to the big day
December 29th 2012 we had the incredible pleasure of witnessing the joining of not only two people, but two beautiful families. Mark and Mariellen opted for a private wedding that included only immediate family and it was perfect. One of my favorite parts of the whole day was when Mariellen and Mark were surrounded by their 6 children during their ceremony, how absolutely special. The whole day was filled with laughter and joy. Not only could you see the incredible love that these two have for each other, but their kids glowed with happiness for their parents. Congratulations to all of you! We were thrilled to be a part of such a special time!
Well when you think of California you don’t think of rain. It absolutely poured down 10 minutes before our engagement session. I thought for a moment there that we weren’t going to be able to go outside and shoot, that would have been a bummer, but it all worked out. These two flew in from out of state to have a dinner with their families at the gorgeous Trump National Gold Course. The landscape was perfect, cliffs overlooked the ocean with tiny paths winding all the way around the course. Shirley and Ed are so in love and you can tell by all the goofing around they did with each other. They are so adorable and Laura and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding.
