I don’t think just anyone could pull of this engagement shoot. Brittany and Steven didn’t know what to expect when we started shooting, but they took it in strides. Engagement shoots are more to prepare a couple about what to expect on their wedding day. It’s a time for us as photographers to get to know the couple. This is why in every wedding package we have, we include engagement pictures!
Back to this amazing couple and their beautiful ’56 Chevy Truck! Oh BTW… nice find with the hat Steven! Who would have known CVS was so stylish. Here’s there little sneak peak, I’m sure they will be sharing plenty of these images on FB in the coming days.
We met Rob at a small wedding we shot at the Franklin Park Conservatory. He did an excellent job officiating and afterwards asked us if we would be willing to capture his surprise proposal. Of course we said yes! When he got down on one knee you could see just how much they adored each other just by the look on both their faces! And that love was so apparent at their gorgeous wedding!
Holly & Rob, you two make such a beautiful couple! We couldn’t be happier to be able to capture some momentous occasions in your journey together.
We wish you all the best!

Well, we obviously can’t say enough about this amazing couple. This is our family. Please congratulate Matthew and Carrie on their beautiful baby girl. She is stunning. They live in DC and we don’t get to see them enough, this was our first time meeting our niece. We couldn’t be more proud to be Aunt’s and Uncle’s to such an adorable bundle of joy! Matthew and Carrie, come home more so we can get awesome pictures of Stella while she grows up. Not to mention that we would love to see and share in your lives more! Love you guys! Happy Memorial Day!
Hello to all of our friends! We just wanted to keep everyone up to date on what is going on with the business. NOTHING…. We are going on vacation for 2 weeks!!!!! During that time we will be getting hitched, I can’t believe I landed such an amazing woman. Thanks to all who are such an amazing part of lives, we will see you soon, but not as single people anymore. We will be joined at the hip! Well, we kind of already are, but this time it’s permanent. I can’t wait to see all of you again soon, but for now, it’s time to relax! If you need anything, feel free to email us, we won’t be getting back to you until we get back on the 19th. If there are any future brides out there, we understand the stress you are going through. Give us two weeks and we will definitely be in touch. Stay tuned for beautiful images from our wedding!
Dustin & Nikki, you guys rocked the house! What an amazing wedding. I’m sure you are loving Hong Kong right now and want you to enjoy every last minute of that trip. You guys made me even more excited for my own wedding here in a few weeks, I hope we look as loving in our pictures as the two of you do in yours. We can’t wait to hang and become even better friends with you. Enjoy your honeymoon… and of course all of your images!
Josh and Jodi,
I want to thank the two of you for supporting us all of these years in our business. These two, now three, are some of my amazing friends, they come back time and time again for their family pics. I can’t wait to see all of the images together in a book in 5 or 10 years from now. I wish my parents would have made us get our family pics done like this. To look back and see all of these fabulous images is great way to record history. Not to mention you don’t have those embarrassing photos of you in the bathtub. Enjoy the photos and don’t forget to go like us on FB.
I told all of you yesterday on FB that you would have to wait…. the wait is over! This wonderful family were troopers when it came down to shooting downtown, on the coldest day since a bunch of 80 degree days. I’m sure we didn’t last as long as we could have if it was 80, but non the less, it was a great shoot. Just check it out for yourselves. Don’t forget to go LIKE us on FB.
I always love shooting images of my friends. I have know this family, for well, longer then they’ve been a family. Actually, I was there when Mike met Karla, I was there at their wedding. I’ve been there for many great events in this couples life, and I hope that I get to keep taking these images of their amazing family. I can’t wait to look back in 10 years or longer and put together a book of how they have grown. These will be at the start of the book I’m sure! Enjoy.
Look at these cute little girls! They were so sweet and polite. We got a beautiful day outside of the Franklin Park Conservatory. If you haven’t walked around over there, I definitely recommend it!
Had a beautiful small wedding yesterday at Franklin Park Conservatory. This is actually the first wedding we have shot there. It was stunning, maybe it’s just this time of year but the colors inside and out were fantastic. Congratulations Chad and Julia on getting hitched! You couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day, not too cold, not too warm, just right!
Have we mentioned before how much we love to have the bride and groom see each other before the wedding? If not, it’s pretty much the best thing ever! It gives plenty of time to take pictures with out being rushed and once the wedding is over, there are just a few family pictures to take and you can enjoy yourself at the reception or cocktail hour and do what you want to do…. Hang with your friends and family! I don’t know why couples don’t always do this (if you ask I’ll give you the real reason why couples started not seeing each other before the wedding, or maybe you can guess!)
Gotta love the Officiant who uses an iPad. We got the low down on why he uses it. First, so if he gets lost in the speech nobody will know that he lost his place, and also so when he’s outside his papers don’t blow away in the wind. Not to mention it’s super cool and trendy!
The other day I met the Smith’s at Inniswood Park for some family pictures. We’d been there a handful of months ago and little Sydney had wanted to sit in her little pink car and smile. Not so much anymore! She wanted to run, run, run! It’s amazing to me how much kids this age change in such a short amount of time! So the three of us followed the star of the show around and caught so many different expressions!
Love this one in the leaves with Sarah behind… how could you not see how proud she is of her daughter?!
The title pretty much says it all, but I would like to thank Barb for being an amazing assistant with holding the reflector to make her girls their best! I would also like to thank Lynds Fruit Farm for such a beautiful location. Last but not least (Since they are the stars of the show), Ashley and Taylor… you guys rocked it out! Thanks for the fun morning!
Leah, Andrew… you guys rock! I know Landon was a bit of a handful yesterday, but you took it with strides. We got some cute shots and I’m excited to be able to give you a sneak peak of what they are. He may not be the happiest in all of the images, but he definitely is one of the cutest! Enjoy.
This morning we went out and had a bit of fun just outside of downtown for another session with the McCort Family. I have to say, not as easy as it was when the kiddo’s were a little smaller, but we still got some outstanding images. Ryder spent the entire session running away from me, he’s a quick little guy. Mia was a bit more shy then last time, but as it always happens, by the end of the session they were bumping fists with me and giving me high fives!
For those photographers who visit the blog, all of this session was shot with the 85mm F1.2. I absolutely love that lens and the focus drop off and bokeh that happens in the background. I switched it up a bit and had Mom and Dad hold a reflector for me to bounce a bit of light into the eyes of their children. If you have any questions feel free to post up some comments and I’ll answer anything you want!
Enjoy their little sneak peak!
Below is Ryder running away… I had to post that!
And below here, I surprised Ryder when he looked up at me. I admit, he looks a little grumpy. He wasn’t, I think he was so interested in the guy standing on top of the climbing wall that me calling his name was a surprise to him.
It was a pleasure to be able to shoot Emily & Ben’s wedding day. I met Emily a couple years ago when I worked in a salon and instantly knew she was awesome. We would sit around in our Esthetician rooms and talk about life and clothes and working out. She is an incredible woman with a huge heart. Ben, you are a very lucky man! Their wedding started at St. Mary’s Church in German Village. The perfect setting for such a great couple.
While I shot the girls getting ready, Adam headed out with the boys to take some “man photos”.
We took a little time before the wedding to scope out a couple spots to shoot at before the actual ceremony… there are so many places in German Village to shoot but this little alley was beautiful!
They had the cutest little ring bearers and flower girl!
Bubbles! Love it!
A candy table? Well yes I’ll have some of that!
Okay, who doesn’t love that this woman is video taping the dancing with her Ipad?!
Just a quick sneak peak for you guys!
Ryan and September, Thank you so much for letting 2QStudios partake in a such a beautiful wedding. You thought you were going to get rained out, but it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic day!
Their wedding was held at the Darby House
Catering by Cameron Mitchell’s – What an amazing job you guys did. These guys are pretty much the nicest crew of caterer’s we have ever worked with! Thanks Mike for all of your hard work!
Both of you have such a love for each other, I can’t wait to see where life takes you! Enjoy your HoneyMoon!
What an Amazing family…. so kind and easy to get along with. We only had an hour to shoot, but the boys were so easy to work with that we took some awesome images! Thanks guys… your family was a treat to shoot! Enjoy your little sneak peak! You’ll see the rest of the images tomorrow!
